A braided hose (or shielded hose) is a type of connecting hose that consists of a tubular inner layer (usually EPDM or PEX) and a metal braided cover (stainless steel or aluminum). Due to their high flexibility and resistance to pressure and temperature, these hoses are the best option for connecting sink faucets, dishwashers, flush tanks, water heaters, and packages to the building's plumbing system.

This difference is related to the type of sanitary faucet connected to them. Single-leg hoses are usually used to connect to sink faucets that have only one water inlet (cold or hot) or in special systems. In contrast, two-leg hoses are used for faucets that require two separate hot and cold water inlets and mix the water inside the faucet cartridge.

Spring steel (accordion) hoses are all metal and do not have an inner rubber tube. This feature makes them extremely resistant to very high temperature (hot water from the package) and extreme fluctuations in water pressure. Also, due to their elasticity and spring mode, it is much easier to install them in limited spaces behind the package and they do not get folded or block the water path.
